 Dear Campers:

We didn’t want to write this letter.  We did everything we could to make camp work, but after hours of meetings, we decided that this is the best decision for everyone. We were really looking forward to camp, just like you.

Whether this was going to be your very first time at camp or your tenth summer, we know that you were excited about spending time up at the ranch. We are so sorry that you won’t be able to do that this summer, but we also know that camp is about more than the weeks that you spend on the ranch. It is about the friendships you have, the camp stories you tell over and over all year and the memories you make with your camp family. Even though we won’t be together this summer, we will continue to connect with you and hope that you will continue to connect with and support each other.

Please know that we too are heartbroken at the sacrifices you are being asked to make as a young person.  You are so very brave, and so very loved.  We believe in you, your resilience, your spirit, and your tenacity.  We will get through this, and while things may feel different, we will get back to living.

You are the reason camp exists, and we will return in 2021 to the community that we love. We live for summer and are already counting down the days until Summer 2021. We can’t wait to see you then!

Erica, Caitlin, Ross and Debby
