We have an incredibly diverse range of activities offered every day at camp. We hire counselors with extensive experience in each special program area, and send additional staff to every busy activity period to ensure that campers receive plenty of supervision to safely have fun biking, hiking, swimming and climbing around the ranch. 

Our lake is the perfect spot to learn how to sail. We learn how to operate the boat as a two person team and campers can then race around the lake honing their skills. 

Or maybe keep it at a trot for now. We have daily lessons for riders of all skill levels. Our horse program is one of the nation's best, with nearly thirty horses and hundreds of acres to explore, it's a rider's paradise at our camp. 

We have miles of fire roads and single track, so campers can take it easy riding during the afternoon down to the lake, test their skills on some of our exciting single track trails, or even learn to ride for the first time. 

These crazy activities are pure fun and nonsense, anything from chicken catching to running through the woods or cardboard box sliding. 

There are plenty of rocks around to climb; our staff teaches basic rock climbing skills like belaying and rappelling.

Come to the arts and crafts barn to work on your tiedye, make friendship bracelets, or create popsicle stick masterpieces! 

The ranch is home to many different animals during the summer. Campers help care for them daily.

Whether you're channeling Katniss or Hawkeye, archery is fun. We've even got a mile-long walking trail with targets.

We are always casting our lines for catfish in the lake!

Everybody loves to cool off in the pool on hot afternoons! 

We run a working ranch, which gives us the chance to teach campers how to weld, drive a bobcat, split logs, and safely use power tools. For decades, campers have helped build the very camp they so enjoy. 

Teaching campers to safely handle a .22 rifle has been a tradition at JRC since its inception. Campers must be ten years of age and pass a safety test to participate.

Gymnastics on the back of a moving horse takes courage and skills. It's fun for all skill levels and ages!

Strap in and try mountain boarding, a unique way to offroad like a skateboarder! 

Each session campers produce and act in a show for all of camp! 

We are proud to serve pretty incredible food at JRC. Campers help harvest our garden, and even the pickiest of eaters are able to find a delicious option every mealtime.

Campers sleep with their counselors and similarly aged peers under our outdoor shelters, falling asleep every night to the sounds of crickets and the rustling of the wind through the trees. 

The Counselor-In-Training program is designed to facilitate a smooth transition from life as a camper to working on staff at JRC. Through daily group discussions and activities, the program instills strong leadership skills in all participants. While some of the program caters specifically to JRC, it is our goal to send all CITs off ready to be leaders at any camp, school, or workplace they enter. 

JRC helps campers develop autonomy--every day they choose the activities they'd like to engage in, the food they put on their plates, and we think this framework of choice helps develop engaged, decisive young adults.
